Their year-round beer garden is genius at navigating the swinging temperatures of Minnesota. This afternoon Butcher & the Boar will be showing off that ingenious four season feature for Esquire Network's Best Bars in America show, which will be filming on site. The show is hosted by comedians Jay Larson and Sean Patton who drink their way around America. No doubt they will need to sample some Knob Creek and the lurid foot long hot dog to get a full appreciation of the downtown Minneapolis watering hole.
If you'd like to try to get your face on TV, head down there now. The bar opened at 3 p.m. today.
Butcher and the Boar is also warming up the beer garden for this weekend's Boarfest. Held this Sunday, October 5th from noon until 8 p.m. Admission is free and the musical lineup is an impressive collection of Minneapolis bands, including Communist Daughter, Curtiss A and more. The food featured is a bevvy of their house-made sausages and the drinks include their impressive beer selection and cocktails. Historically, it's a perfect weather weekend for hot toddies.
