The sign on the door says the restaurant is closed for remodeling, however City Pages reports that the restaurant is closed for good. Despite the name, the slick space was hardly a dive. Louie's Wine Dive opened in the spring of 2014 as the first Minnesotan outpost for the Des Moines based company.
Now the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports that New Bohemia Wurst & Bierhaus has submitted plans to the city to take over the address. The beer and sausage restaurant has been rapidly expanding since opening the first restaurant in the shadow of Kramarzyck's in Northeast in October 2012. The mini-chain now has outposts in Golden Valley, Mankato and is working to open another in Eagan. The restaurant also has a food truck.
