Sometimes we welcome a little suburban encroachment on the city, especially when Korean favorite Hoban Restaurant of Eagan is coming to the Hennepin/Lake intersection of Uptown.

After applying for a liquor license late last year, the 26 year-old authentic Korean restaurant will open a new shop in Uptown in the near future at 2929 Hennepin Ave.

The restaurant will continue to be open at their original space of 1989 Silverbell Rd in Eagan as well. The Eagan space has served Korean fare to the metro for over 15 years in an unassuming strip mall location about 13 miles south of their soon to come second home with a menu featuring the staple kimchi alongside popular bulgogi, hot pots, soups, noodles, and stir frys.
