John Mullen III has stepped up to the burners inside the Wayzata eatery on the shore of Lake Minnetonka. Mullen replaces JP Samuelson and arrives from downtown Minneapolis' BANK inside The Westin. The menu is slowly evolving as the chef eases into his new position.

On part of the menu where he's having some fun is a weekly Fat Pants Friday special. The 6Smith team is quick to point out that his cooking style is usually more ingredient-driven and simple. However, these specials are gargantuan plates of decadence geared for the lounge wear of the impending weekend. Past specials have included a burger that resembles a Dagwood sandwich and a massive sandwich that took every conceivable nacho topping and stacked it up and packed it inside a bun. The Fat Pants special is available for lunch in the restaurant at only at the bar for dinner.
