The stylized "Mexhampton" country club boasts a Ferris Wheel, giant gorilla, booze slushies and open membership. The story goes that when Leslie Bock attempted to join a local country club, she was denied membership. Bock also owns Saint Sabrina's, Psycho Suzi's, Donnie Dirks and the Undead Franks food truck. Emboldened by the institutionalized snobbery she decided to open a country club for the other 99%.
Located atop the original Psycho Suzi's location, the new restaurant will double as an adult playground in the summer. That's when we'll get to ride the patio/Ferris wheel and pony up for some epic mini golf. There are even memberships available that come with various benefits.
For now, the dining room is awash in kitschy country club touches, serving "Mexhampton" food (lots of fried flour tortillas packed with serious spice) and margaritas the size of your head. Here's a look inside.
