A Deep Fried Kickstarter: Brooks High Beer Battered Food Truck

Duo pairs with local craft breweries to beer, batter and serve the streets of Minneapolis.

Brooks High Beer Battered Founders

Brett Drake and Pete Toft have launched a crowd funding campaign for Brooks High Beer Battered in the hopes of purchasing a food truck with a craft brew bent. They have teamed with Bauhaus Brew Labs and LynLake Brewery for the beer to use in the signature batters.

The menu will focus on beer battered fish sandwiches and cheese curds, but will be augmented with comfort foods like beer cheese soup, beer bread, bacon mac and cheese and the like. As Drake told us, "Health food!"

The eventual goal would be for them to open a brick and mortar location, but for now they need the cash to get off the ground. So far the campaign has raised $6,000 of the $25,000 goal.

Rewards run the gamut from branded t-shirts, stickers, skipping stones to a super sweet plaid, flannel adult onsie. Valentine's Day is right around the corner.
