We're looking at a record breaking temperature day. We owe it to ourselves to get out there and carpe diem. Here are the trucks that are out today.
Simply Steve's: Nothing fancy, but good food is being served up by Simply Steve's by the Ford Center.
Butcher Salt: New to the streets last year, the scratch cooking truck with the sleek style is at the U.S. Bank Plaza. The Butcher Salt Sliders are on the menu.
Gastrotruck: The chef owned and run truck has braved a good part of winter, but those black bean sliders taste all the better in warm weather. On Marquette between 6th and 7th.
House of Hunger: The little food truck that could. These guys had a close call with closing during the slow season, but they are back and slinging the phillies just as gooey, zesty as ever. Find them on 2nd Ave and 6th Street.
Pepperjax: Philly's are that beautiful mess of meat, cheese, onions and peppers. Taste what it's all about on 2nd and 6th.
Lulu's Street Food: If you leave this truck hungry, you're doing it wrong. Hearty fare that's a fun mess to feast upon like chicken and waffles or positively packed pulled pork sandwich. On 2nd Ave and 6th.
Kabomlette: These guys promise to bring the flavor bomb to your mouth. They're over on Washington Avenue and 10th Street. Omelettes, hash and kabobs served until 1 p.m.
The Moral Omnivore: Slinging good food that you can feel good about eating, these guys have returned from a much deserved vacation with scratch made everything. You know you've missed those fried tomato BLT's. On Marquette between 7th and 8th.
Vin's Italian: These guys toughed it out all season, delivering steamy Italian subs to hungry cube dwellers all winter long. Now is the time to go visit the truck and see the team behind the good food. On Marquette between 7th and 8th.
O'Cheese: Grilled cheese galore parked right behind the Moral Omnivore on Marquette between 7th and 8th.
Fork in the Road: The orange truck has pulled in at Mears Park in St. Paul, serving their speicial brand of comfort food. The Freschetta sandwich served with a strawberry lemonade tastes like summer.
