Another mobile eatery has found a permanent home. Cafe Racer, the labor of love from Luis Patino, a one-time paralegal who has gained a loyal following by serving dishes inspired by his Colombian heritage.
The new restaurant will expand upon the menu that had already been offered on the truck. The location is 2929 East 25th Street, which was last home to the Donut Cooperative and before that, the Cliquot Club Cafe.
Today Cafe Racer announced that the new location would be open within the week. Stephanie March at Mpls. St. Paul Magazine reports that the truck will not go away, but will continue to roam the streets of Minneapolis beginning in April.
