Brasserie Zentral, the restaurant of great schnitzel and fine wines has added a Sunday brunch service that will begin this weekend at 10 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. Chef and owner Russell Klein has yet to unveil the full menu, but promises a properly puffy panakuken and an unfettered Belgian waffle.
Spoon and Stable quietly opened for a soft brunch service last weekend and the Instagrams were lickable. This Sunday the rest of us plebs are invited from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu includes eggs poached in red wine, a hash brown "lucy," smoked and grilled bacon plus more of the considerable repertoire of chef and owner Gavin Kaysen. Plus, pastry chef Diane Yang and her team have been working overtime creating gooey and doughy delights for weekend risers.
