…and lakeside eating in St. Paul

Friday marks the opening of the much-anticipated Como Dockside in the Como Lakeside Pavilion. Throughout May, the newly remodeled restaurant will be open with limited hours to make sure all the kinks are worked out, according to new proprietor Jon Oulman, owner of the 331 Club and Amsterdam Bar and Hall. "We want to make sure we move slowly into this so we are confident in our ability to deliver," Oulman said. The restaurant will serve New Orleans style picnic food, including Po’ Boys, Creole gumbo and steamed mussels. A grand opening is planned for Sunday, May 31.

Earn your beer at Grand Fondo

For those of you who inexplicably choose to pair beer with physical activity…and not in a good way, may we suggest a 100 mile bike ride? Take part in Fulton’s Grand Fondo on Saturday, followed by a giant party at the shiny new Fulton Brewery. There will be the ubiquitous food trucks and live music, as well as the seasonal release of Fulton’s summer saison, Randonneur. All are welcome.
