Every August some of the most buzzed about chefs in the Twin Cities and beyond head up to Madden's on Gull Lake to lead a weekend of feasting, festing and classes on the art of food. The first round of chefs this year includes John Kraus of Patisserie 46, Erik Anderson and Jamie Malone of the hotly anticipated Brut, Food Network host and James Beard award winning author Amy Thielen, Doug Flicker of Piccolo, Robert Wolhfeil of Oceannaire, Food & Wine Best New Chef 2015 Jim Christiansen, the effervescent Nick Kosevich of Bittercube Bitters, Landon Schoenefeld of Haute Dish and Nighthawks, and Niki Francioli of La Belle Vie. Winging in from Memphis are Food & Wine Best New Chef 2013 Andrew Ticer and Michael Hudman of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen and Hog & Hominy. Alan Krohnke of Roastery 7 will be pouring the perfectly brewed coffee. Plus, the chefs of Madden's will be showing off their considerable talents.
The weekend involves huge spreads of food, facinating classes and the rare chance to see these chefs out in the wild. Running August 28 through 30, tickets start at $188.50 per person. More information can be found here.
