Street Festivals, Cider, and Much More This Weekend June 5-7

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some choice dining and drinking events going on around the Twin Cities.

Friday, June 5th

Surly Beer Release

Two new beers debut from Surly at Amsterdam Bar & Hall. A black ale and pale ale brewed with and for Norwegian metal band, 1349. Surly head brewer Todd "The Axe Man" Haug is the opening act.

Saturday, June 6th

St. Paul Beer Fest

Sample from over 100 national craft breweries at the MN State Fairgrounds, while enjoying live music, a variety of food, and beer seminars. VIP tickets are sold out but other tickets are still available.

Bicycle Cider Crawl and Cider Fest

Cyclists can stop at six participating locations including Town Hall Brewery, Republic 7 Corners, and Sociable Cider Werks for a cider crawl and then end the day at Cider Fest, Town Hall Brewery's ultimate cider-tasting festival.

Sunday, June 7th

Grand Old Day

Touted as the largest one-day festival in the Midwest, Grand Old Day features over 150 food vendors pandering a variety of street fare from pie to lobster.This year, participating food vendors will be also compete for the Grand Old Day Grand Grub Award, based on taste, appeal, presentation and creativity.

Open Streets: Lyndale

Next up for Open Streets is along Lyndale Avenue. The bike-friendly street festival will have Lyndale Ave blocked off between 22nd and 42nd Streets for an afternoon of food, art, live music, and other family-friendly activities.
