They have only been open a matter of days, but already Heavy Table's John Garland has filed his review of the Chicago based chain, Giordano's. It seems the Uptown pizza outposts' deep dish crust is an egregious affront to a pizza lover's palate. He reports, "...it’s as thick, structurally sound, and tasty as mortar." His highly anticipated new drinking destination that is taking shape in White Bear Lake - which they continue to point out is only fifteen minutes outside of Saint Paul. Jess Fleming at the Pioneer Press offers an update on the continually delayed remodel of The Lexington. Co-owner Josh Thoma filled her in on all the structural updates that the elderly building required. It seems that the restaurant will re-open, at the soonest, in mid-November. A cocktail inside that historic bar does taste particularly satisfactory around the holiday season.
