So you wanna get fancy? Ditch the yoga pants for a swanky party hat at the ASI’s annual Crayfish Party. Dine under the twinkling lights at this traditional end-of-summer Swedish soiree. There will be hearty breads and cheeses, a variety of salads, Swedish paj, aquavit and a boatload of crayfish.
The 7th Annual Summer Beer Dabbler will take place at the sparkling new CHS Field this year. Enjoy craft brew samplings from more than 75 local, regional, and national breweries, along with very grown up activities like Human Foosball and a silent disco (some may say, the best kind of disco, no?)
Sunday, August 16th
We probably don’t need to say more than "they’ll have burgers from Parlour" but, oh, there will be so much more. Food from Borough, Coup d’etat, Constantine and Marché. Plus, there will be music from Black Market Brass, Private Oats and more. All this promises to make the 3rd Annual Borough Block Party as awesome as those burgers.
Julia Child’s 102nd b-day is this year, and Linden Hills Farmer’s Market is throwing her a party. Child’s former colleague, The Splendid Table's Lynne Rossetto Kasper and James Beard Award winning author Amy Thielen will play Stump the Cook with Kitchen In the Market’s chef/owner Molly Hermann. Kasper may even share a tale or two from her days with Julia. Also, there will be cake.
