A Look Inside Eastside

A small peek at the new eatery.

Leading up to the Eater Awards on Monday November 16, we're looking back at some of our favorite stories about the nominees. Today, we gaze upon the beauty of So Hot Right Now and Stone Cold Stunner nominee, Eastside.

The windows will open onto the street. The bar easily flows into the dining room. A wide-open room is accented with tiles, brass, steel and a dash of steam-punk aesthetic. The newest restaurant from Ryan Burnet (Bar La Grassa, Barrio and Burch) will have Remy Pettus (of Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen in Healdsberg, Moto in Chicago and Cosmo's locally) as the executive chef. Bill Fairbanks, chef and vice president of operations at Barrio, also adds his expertise to the eatery. Shea, Inc. has designed the room. Plus, Dan Oskey of Tattersall Distilling is consulting on the cocktail menu. Today, we have the first look at the restaurant that is fast taking shape on Washington Avenue. Expect to get the full picture when the doors open on September 29.
