Labor Day Weekend is about that last boat ride, dining alfresco while we still can, and of course…the Fair! Here are a few other options before the leaves (or snow) start to fall.
Friday, September 4th
Had enough deep fried goodness for one year? Cleanse with traditional Korean soups from Eddie Wu at Cook’s Friday Pop Up. Soul soothing dishes include Moo Gook: a mushroom broth with tofu, daikon, garlic, Korean pepper flakes and an egg. Or try Yukaejang, made with braised pulled beef, bean sprouts, sweet potato noodles and an egg cooked in the soup. Soup, it does a body good.
Saturday, September
Hop on the Green Line during the second annual Rails & Ales: Light Rail Brewery Crawl. Visit nine breweries in Minneapolis and St. Paul for a self-guided Light Rail Crawl that includes special discounts on beer, food, and merchandise at each brewery. Rides begin at Target Field, Stadium Village, or Union Depot.
Tickets include Rails & Ales T-shirt, two tokens redeemable for a pint at participating breweries, and an event passport which includes maps, discount information, contests, and guides to local bars and restaurants along the route.

Sunday, September 6th
Day Block Brewing is hosting PorktoberFest, an all-day event celebrating pork and beer. Some vegetarian options will be available. Live music includes The Lone Crows, Frankie Teardrop and Basement Brew.
Monday, September 7th
Bonus weekend day! Celebrate the last day of summer the best way of all - at the Minnesota State Fair. Get caught up on all our coverage here and hit that stuff on a stick hard.
