Tonight Marvel Bar Dresses Up As a Dive

The fanciest bar downtown will be Marv’s.

Nice bass.
Marvel Bar

Marvel

Marvel Bar, underneath Bachelor Farmer, is usually one of the best looking bars in the cities, with a slick underground vibe. But on Halloween night from 5 p.m. until midnight, Marvel is dressing up as a Dive Bar, complete with pizzas , Skynyrd blaring from the sound system and Big Buck Hunter video game (yes, the one with the shotguns.)

Halloween Creep and Crawl

Travail, Rookery and Pig Ate My Pizza are throwing their annual Creep and Crawl bash and this year promises to be most excellent. Party revelers are invited to crawl (not literally, but no judgement) between the two locales for an all-you-can-eat feast, plus spooky games, beer chugging races, costume contest and much more. The bash will be held on Saturday, October 29. $65 includes all the grub, but drinks will be available for purchase. Leave the kiddos home and wear a costume, these guys are dead serious about their parties.

Halloween + Horses at Two Pony

Two Pony’s main crops are stunning dahlia flowers and heirloom tomatoes, but once a week they fire up the grill for a cozy at-the-farm pizza night. On October 29 from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Two Pony will serve those awesome pies, then take you and yours for a spin on a horse drawn carriage ride through the Wolsfeld Woods. It sounds a bit like Sleepy Hollow, but with way better ‘za. Tickets are $45 and include all you can eat pizza and carriage ride.

Halloween Brewery Crawl

The Northeast Brewers & Distillers Association along with Bitter Minnesota Tours will hold the 3rd Annual Northeast Halloween Crawl on Saturday, Oct. 29 starting at 8 p.m. If you are going to drag yourself door to door begging for stuff, it might as well be beer. Take advantage of free shuttles to and from tap and cocktail rooms throughout Northeast Minneapolis. Stops will include

612Brew, Bauhaus Brew Labs, Sociable Cider Werks and Wander North Distillery among many others. There will be a variety of entertainment at the stops, like scary movies, costume contests and dance parties.

Bring your pooch to Freehouse.

Freehouse

For what promises to be the most Instagrammable Halloween event in town, bring your pups to Freehouse for their dog-friendly Howloween Bash and costume contest on Sunday, October 30, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

The evening will include Halloweeny food and drink specials and a professional pet photographer to snap awwww-inspiring pics of your Great Dane in a tutu. There will prizes for the bestest costumes, swag like dog toys and leashes from Tito’s Handmade Vodka, a pocket map of Twin Cities dog parks and dog-friendly breweries and a copy of Dog Medicine, a tearjerker memoir from Julie Barton. 10% of all food and drink sales on the patio will be donated to Pet Haven, Minnesota’s oldest foster-based pet rescue. Now that’s something to howl about...sorry, so sorry.
