Here’s your first look inside Augustine’s

It’s an idea whose time has come: an all day gathering spot that combines the carbo-loaded powers of both a neighborhood bakery and a corner bar. Augustine’s Bar & Bakery is the beauteous work of the same team that operates Cathedral Hill’s beloved beer-forward restaurant The Happy Gnome.

The restaurant seats 70 and is located on a corner that was most recently a laundromat. It’s on Selby Avenue in St. Paul, just a stone’s throw from the wildly popular original location of the Blue Door Pub.

The full bar, restaurant and bakery is named in honor of Saint Augustine of Hippo - which explains the hippo that stands stoutly proud as the official mascot.

Open seven days a week, Augustine’s lunch through dinner Monday through Friday and brunch through dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
