Rachel’s Will Get a Reboot

Saturday is the last service for this Northeast Minneapolis eatery.

Last call at Rachel’s

Remember Rachel’s? It’s the John Rimarcik-owned restaurant that’s in that historic Bobino location on Hennepin Avenue. It’s been an off-the-beaten path restaurant that’s been quietly serving guests for five years, but now the prolific restaurant owner declares it’s time for a change.

Rimarcik, who also owns Pracna on Main, Monte Carlo, North Loop’s Runyon’s, Edina’s Convention Grill and Dinkytown’s Kitty Cat Klub and Annie’s Parlour has announced that it’s time to give Rachel a new ‘do.

After this Saturday the restaurant will close for an extensive remodel and a fresh concept what the new spot will be is anyone’s guess. The owner even told the Star Tribune, ‘I have no idea what it’s going to be.’

The location is fantastic, right on Hennepin Avenue, just over the bridge from downtown Minneapolis with a lovely patio.

Look for a new eatery at the address in 2017.
