Fried Dough Funday Hits Northeast This Weekend

Glam Doll Donuts’ second location will open Sunday.

More sugar for everyone.

Get ready for the sugar rush Northeast Minneapolis. Glam Doll Donuts’ second location will throw its doors open this 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning, serving the donuts that have inspired many a late night run to Eat Street. The crew will start pouring mimosas at 10:00 a.m. Opening on what is quite possibly the hottest corner in Minneapolis, Glam Doll will join neighbors Lu’s Sandwiches and the upcoming Bad Waitress, all familiar faces from the old ‘hood. The sparkling new space in the Red 20 building promises to be highly Instagrammable, which is no surprise considering how adorable the retro Eat Street shop is.

Glam Doll Donuts opened on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis in 2013, bringing in old and young lovers of all things glazed ever since. The newest sweets mecca will serve all the beloved flavors like the Outlaw, Chart Topper and Dark Angel, along with the talk of the town, the Mac and Cheese Donut. We have no idea what it tastes like, but Glam Doll’s Facebook page features an ooey gooey video of the evil concoction. The new shop will also see an expansion of the recently launched brunch menu and the owners have secured a beer and wine license to go along with new donut entrees (if that’s not a thing it should be.) Owner Teresa Fox promises that the team has “a few other things up our sleeves as well.” Bring it.
