The Southern Pride smoker has taken her maiden voyage and the Thunderchicken has been safely installed. It's time to get our fried chicken on at the hotly anticipated second coming of Revival. 525 Selby Avenue in Saint Paul is buzzing with life as the staff puts the finishing touches on the new restaurant in anticipation of its opening on December 26.
As with the original location owners, chef Thomas Boemer will oversee the kitchen and Nick Rancone will oversee the front of house, but the two have brought in some new friends to help out around the place. Jesse Gibbs, the longtime manager of Revival one will oversee the hospitality; Nate McLemore Raczkowski will run the bar (now sporting a full liquor license) and Dan Zeroth will be in the kitchen.
This is the third restaurant for Boemer and Rancone who also own the critical darling Corner Table, also in Minneapolis.
The second Revival will serve the Hot Tennessee, Southern Fried and Poultryguiest that fans are willing to stand in line for hours to eat. However, there will also be an impressive barbecue selection and for the first time ever, the cheddar stuffed drop biscuits that are on the menu at CT.
Initial hours will be Monday through Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
