Gourmet Local Food Shop Local D'Lish Has Closed

The North Loop boutique dedicated to local foodstuff has closed.

Back in 2008 when small companies had to fight tooth and nail to get on the shelves of area grocery stores and the North Loop had just a few less condos a little shop opened stocked with small produced, locally made goods that upped our pantry game. Sadly, Local D'Lish at 201 North 1st Street, announced it has has shuttered. Owner Ann Yin tells Stephanie March of Mpls./St. Paul Magazine that that the decision to leave was in an effort to find a better work/life balance. She said, "I am incredibly proud of what we’ve done here, we set out to connect people through the power of food, and I think we did that. When I think of all the farmers and artisans we featured, the products we helped launch, the careers of women we’ve furthered, I can’t even begin to tell you how much that has all meant to me.

There is one last chance to say goodbye and pick up some deeply discounted goodies, this Thursday February 11 from 10 the store will open to clear out inventory and say goodbye.
