Heartland cookbook signing dinner

Heartland will be celebrating the release of Chef Lenny Russo’s new cookbook,Heartland: Farm Forward Dishes from the Great Midwest, with a five course dinner featuring seasonal dishes gleaned from the book. There will also be libations from Sonja Kassebaum of North Shore Distillery and cocktails created by Erik Eastman of Easy & Oskey.

Happy birthday Clubhouse Jäger

When Clubhouse Jäger opened its doors in Minneapolis' Warehouse District 10 years ago, there were no glass clad condos dotting the landscape and barely a place to get a sandwich, much less the line up of eateries there are now. Jäger has withstood it all and they are ready to celebrate. Since it also happens to be Summit's 30th anniversary, the party will feature Summit’s 30th Anniversary Double IPA, Unchained 21: Us & Them IPA and a Jäger exclusive cast-conditioned firkin of Oatmeal Stout with an Irish mint tea infusion. A Cupcake Social will be selling a limited supply of yum: Summit beer cupcakes.

Yoga and pints

Tin Whiskers wants you to feel a little less guilty about that morning pint. Twist and turn for an hour on your yoga mat, then indulge in a pint (or soda, if you want to be a downer about it.) By the time you’re done with all that exercising business, it will be Noon! Time for more beer.

More yoga and pints

Not to be outdone, Lake Monster in St. Paul offers several opportunities to sweat out that beer. They hold yoga classes in their tap room Saturday and Sunday mornings. $15 for yoga session and a beer.

Sunday, March 13

Northern Lights Rare Beer Fest

Northern Lights Rare Beer Fest is a unique craft beer event celebrating rare, vintage and specialty one-off beers. For $100, attendees will receive a commemorative tasting glass, unlimited samples, beer notes book and program, a chance to meet owners and brewers, and some nibbles from Bon Appetit.

Sensing a trend here

Excelsior Brewing Company invites you to skip brunch and spend an hour twisting and breathing your way through a yoga class, after which you will be rewarded with a pint. They also promise a nap. Now this is a trend we can get behind.  $10.00 per student includes a pint of beer.
