The popular lunch time stop, which features daily soups and an eclectic variety of paninis and simple sandwiches, will indefinitely shutter its Marquette Avenue location at the end of this month. The Baker Center will soon be undergoing significant renovations, and new plans engulf Maison Darras’ current location there. The popular skyway location has been open since the spring of 2014.
Co-owner Dee Darras emphasises the St. Paul spot isn’t going anywhere and catering operations will continue uninterrupted, as some fans have feared. “We love St. Paul. We’ve been here for eight years and it’s going very well,” she said today. “Our catering service comes out of our St. Paul location so there will not be any disruption to our catering customers.”
Catering orders of 12 or more will continue to be delivered by Maison Darras while other Minneapolis customers are encouraged to use services like Bite Squad to get their Panini fix.
The last day of service at the Minneapolis location will be March 31st.
