Sparglefest

Sparglefest, a celebration of all things asparagus formerly held at Brasserie Zentral will take place at Meritage and will feature AAA white asparagus from Europe. The seasonal, colossal spears will star in dishes like butter braised asparagus with scrambled eggs and caviar, poached chicken breast with morels and asparagus with sauce supreme, and white asparagus cream soup.

The dishes are available from now until May 15.

Twin Cities Best of the Wurst

Stop by Sociable Cider Werks on Sunday, May 15 for all the sausage you can eat,  a pint of cider or beer and live music. A ticket gets you chow from the likes of Prairie Dogs Hot Dogs & Handcrafted Sausage, Red Table Meat Co., The Curious Goat, Pork and Pickle, The Herbivorous Butcher, Revival, Kramarczuk's, Lowry Hill Meats, HauteDish, Clancy's Meats & Fish, The Rabbit Hole and many more.

Hola Arepa's Birthday

Two years ago the bright turquoise truck pulled into the address at 3501 Nicollet Avenue S. in Minneapolis and Hola Arepa the restaurant opened for business. To celebrate Birk Grudem and Christina Nguyen are throwing a big ol' bash on May 15 (yes, everything is happening that day.) The party is going to be huge with Afro-Cuban band Malamanya rocking the parking lot. Guest bartenders Adam Gorski (TRUEPenny/forthcoming Young Joni), Bennett Johnson (Tattersall Distilling) and Robb Jones (Spoon & Stable) join Hola's Nate McLemore-Raczkowski will be pouring cocktails. Elotes, ceviche tostadas and more Latin street food will be served. There's even more fun to find there and the best part is, it's free and open to the public.

Rose-fest

It's time to think pink. This Sunday May 15 is the 8th annual Rose Tent Tasting from Solo Vino. If you're somewhere wondering where all the somms in town are hanging out - this is where you can find them. The part is moving to the spacious parking lot at the St. Paul Curling Club. Tickets are $35 and the tasting goes from 2 to 5 p.m.

Spring Fling Cocktail Dinner

Cosmo is teaming up with Tattersall Distillery and Gentleman Forager's Mike Kempenich for a springy dinner event. Award winning Chef Timothy Fischer will be crafting a 5-course dinner highlighting some of Gentleman Forager’s best finds and each course will be paired with a cocktail featuring Tattersall’s spirits and recipes this Sunday May 15 beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets for the dinner, held at Loews Minneapolis Hotel’s Cosmo Restaurant, are $70 per person.
