On Thursday October 6, James Beard Award winning chef Naomi Pomeroy of Beast in Portland will be at the North Loop landing ground for celebrity chefs: Spoon and Stable. She’s bringing her new cookbook Taste & Technique and collaborating with Gavin Kaysen on a special dinner celebrating the book’s launch. There are only 40 tickets available which will go on sale today at 10:00 a.m. at $165 (signed book is included in the price). Just in case you can’t quite find the funds or miss your chance to grab the tickets, chef Pomeroy will also be preparing a special menu of bar snacks in addition to Spoon and Stable’s regular menu.

LOCO DUUK 2
One of the most popular pop-ups ever thrown on the east side is coming back and switching locations. LolaRosa, Cook St. Paul, Dumpling and Union Kitchen are taking over Gigi’s Cafe in South Minneapolis for LOCO DUUK 2 on Saturday October 1 from 5 to 10 p.m. The powerhouse team will be serving dinner while the Gigi’s team will serve dessert and drinks.
Just like LOCO DUUK one Cook St. Paul is again including the Tattooed & Food feature. Anybody who gets “Lil’ Pan Pan,” Cook’s unofficial mascot and eats at the pop up will receive a Lil Pan Pan Stack, two buttermilk pancakes and two eggs at Cook St. Paul for free once a week for a year. Uptown Tattoo at the corner of 27th & Lyndale will be taking walk-ins every Saturday from 1pm – 9pm. Anyone that wants to take advantage of this deal, but get inked at that time. Uptown will have a sheet that goes over the rest of the prerequisites for capitalizing on this deal.
