Open on the ground floor of Bloomington’s tourist-magnet Mall of America since 1992, Tucci Benucch will close at 4 p.m. on February 4. The faux Italian country-side decor has welcomed shoppers since the first day of the mega mall’s opening in the Minneapolis suburb. The mall celebrated 25 years of business this August. Just 47 original tenants remain out of the 520 stores that are now housed in the ever-expanding retail behemoth.

Tucci Benucch is a part of the Lettuce Entertain You company, a restaurant group based out of Chicago. The company also owns and operates one of the other original restaurants at the mall, the Twin City Grill.

Italian comfort food and hearty portions have been the calling card of this restaurant since its inceptions. The “patio” and affordable happy hour on the western side of the mall has made Tucci Benucch a popular respite for weary.

Any holiday gift cards, still being promoted on the restaurant’s Facebook page, should be redeemed soon. Doors will close at 4 p.m. February 4, 2018.
