The Brasa Saint Paul employee that was struck by a car while biking home from work on Sunday November 26 has died at Regions Hospital according to police. Jose Hernandez Solano, 52 was crossing the intersection of Grand Avenue and West 7th Street shortly after midnight on a green light when a sage green Hyundai Santa Fe sped through a light and struck Hernandez.
Police continue to look for the car, which is believed to be a 2008-2010 year model which would have sustained front and side damage.
According to the Pioneer Press investigators also believe the driver of the vehicle interacted with someone in a dark-colored Chevrolet Tahoe at West Seventh Street and Kellogg Boulevard shortly before the crash.
