Unlock the Art of Jewish Food with Adam Eaton

Chef Adam Eaton creates beautiful plates of French-influenced fare at his Lowertown restaurant Saint Dinette, but what the chef really loves to do, is share the food he grew up with. And like the young man with a little bubbe’s soul, he’s sharing that love with the people through a new series of classes at Midtown Global Market’s Kitchen in the Market. The series kicks off Sunday March 26 with two additional classes on May 21 and October 22. Tickets are $90 and are available here.

Break Out the Shillelagh

Perhaps you’re just looking at the calendar now, but it seems that St. Patrick’s Day is already tomorrow. If you’re catching the parade in downtown St. Paul, grab your green, pinch a leprechaun and plan ahead for a bite in downtown St. Paul, Lowertown or check out all there is to see and do (and drink) on West 7th.

Aloha from Psycho Suzi’s

Spring break is right around the corner for those of you still interested in that sort of thing, but if you’re not planning on leaving on a jet plane to someplace tropical, fear not. Psycho Suzi’s is holding a Psycho Luau with a full-on pig roast and fiery Polynesian show on March 31 at 7:00 p.m. There’ll be hula, there’ll be Samoan warriors doing what Samoan warriors do, and there will definitely be lots of exotic treats including Psycho Suzi's signature tiki drinks, Kona beer, and of course, tender, succulent pig eats. Tickets are $49, roughly the cost of sending one suitcase to Hawaii.

Bar Crawl Alert: Thank You For Being a Friend

That’s right, it’s the greatest celebration of booze, cheesecake and cocktails on the lenai. Dress up as your favorite Golden Girl (or maybe Jenny Lewis as that brat that stole Rose’s bear) and hit the mean streets of Minneapolis on Saturday May 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The girls will hit up The Pourhouse, the Saloon, 7th Street Entry, and Union Rooftop. Choose one girl as a team (you don’t have to dress with her, but come on, what kind of monster wouldn’t want to?) and prep for surprise entertainment at each venue. There will be karaoke, a selection of music from Shannon Blowtorch and more. Tickets are $15 to $35 available here. 100% of all bar sales will benefit Out Front.
