It’s a sad Monday for pizza lovers in the west metro. Parasole, the restaurant ownership group has announced that they are closing their pizza concept at 3910 50th Street West in Edina. According to a press release, the last slice was served yesterday, Sunday March 12.
“Mozza Mia, Parasole’s wood fired pizza joint, located in downtown Edina, regretfully closed its doors effective Sunday March 12th. We closed because the current operating environment doesn’t favor restaurants and because Mozza Mia was losing money.”
Citing the current environment not being suited for restaurant has us eyeing the other eateries under the Parasole umbrella. That includes Uptown’s Chino Latino and Libertine, St. Paul’s Muffuletta, Salut Bar Americain in Edina and St. Paul; steakhouses Pittsburgh Blue and Manny’s, Minneapolis’ Burger Jones and the health conscious eatery Good Earth.
The Parasole Group hopes to absorb Mozza Mia’s employees into its other businesses.
