It’s like a little slice of Marquette Avenue right in the skyway system of downtown Minneapolis’ Baker Building Roanoke Center. O’Cheeze will soon be opening a new brick and mortar location just a few steps away from other food trucks turned eateries: Green + the Grain and Vellee Deli.
O’Cheeze has been rolling down the streets slinging a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches to hungry curb explorers and brewery goers for the past three years. The truck is run by husband and wife team Haley and Tony Fritz. These are the guys that gave us the mac and cheese inside the grilled cheese sandwich.
The location has room for 30 seats and an expanded menu starring all things ooey gooey and crispy cheesy. In the morning there will be grab and go sandwiches and lunch will have a selection of grilled cheeses’ best friend: soup. Plus there will be desserts like flan, cheesecakes, and custards.
If construction goes well, the restaurant should open before the end of Jun.
