It’s been just two months since Minneapolis’ best-known chef opened his second restaurant, the French-inspired Bellecour. In that time, the reservations broke records on open table and drew countless city-dwellers into the picturesque city of Wayzata. Prime time dining seats have been difficult to come by as diners jockey for the opportunity to sample the escargot en croute, duck a l’orange and oeufs mimosa.
Up until today, the only outdoor dining available were the few bistro seats set outside of the bakery during the day. All that is about to change.
The new patio, tucked away from the street, off the back of the dining room, will now be opening and serving the dinner menu The stunning patio features green wall installations with cascading Spanish moss, plus twinkling bistro lights strung across the outdoor room and wrapped around the tree that stands in the middle of the space.
The dining room opens for service at Bellecour tonight at 5 p.m., but the bar opens at 4 p.m.
