Vic’s at St. Anthony Main Closes Abruptly

Vic’s website has gone dark and the phones aren’t being answered. Staff was informed last night that the restaurant at 201 SE Main Street on Minneapolis’ picturesque St. Anthony Main waterfront has closed.

The restaurant was known for it’s gorgeous patio overlooking the cobblestone street and the Mississippi River in the distance, happy hour specials and . It seems things were going downhill, with an Open Table review from last week saying, “Though we liked our server, the restaurant appeared to be short-staffed.”

Another January diner lamented, “Overpriced for food that was received. Fries were cold, hardly any alligator on my sandwich. Wouldn’t recommend!” It is hard to get over getting shorted on gator.

Keep an eye on that space. It seems unlikely that the address will remain vacant for long.
