The French reboot of Grand Cafe on 38th and Grand from chef Jamie Malone has been doing everything right in a remake. The restaurant was given a gentle refresh, playing up the strengths of a worn-in restaurant space, while glamming up a few spots with hand-painted wallpaper and a mix of vintage China. The next evolution of cozy French bistro fare has won rave reviews. The Star Tribune’s critic Rick Nelson marveled, “One of the traits that makes Malone’s confident work so compelling is her obvious curiosity for quirky — and superior — ingredients.”
Quirky and superior could also describe the restaurant’s social media, which includes vintage movie stills, hilarious videos and as of today, the ultimate game day guide for those who want an upgrade from the standard football fare. Screw chips and dip, bring on the caviar. Watch the full video here.
