The Man of the Woods singer is getting to know St. Paul’s dining scene while he’s staying in town to prep for his performance at the Super Bowl LII. Justin Timberlake quietly dined at Tim McKee’s Octo Fishbar on Sunday evening, enjoying a negroni along with a light seafood meal. Last night he and his wife, Ely-native Jessica Biel celebrated his 37th birthday inside downtown St. Paul’s Meritage.
The French restaurant is owned by chef Russell and his wife Desta Klein and often recognized as the best dining to be had in St. Paul.
Sources say Timberlake and company enjoyed plenty of oysters from the raw bar, foie gras from Au Bon Canard out of Caledonia and the Tournedos Rossini along with some fine selections from Meritage’s wine cellar.
At the end of the meal, the staff (sans chef Klein) and his crew serenaded JT with a rousing version of Happy Birthday over a spread of all the restaurant’s desserts.
