MN Slice is now open and serving huge pieces of pizza inside Keg and Case off West 7th Street in Saint Paul. The newest slice shop is the work of pastry master John Kraus, who also owns and operates Patisserie 46 in South Minneapolis and the Rose Street Pastisseries in Linden Hills and St. Paul.
MN Slice will serve basic cheese and pepperoni in addition to a rotating list of fun toppings pulling from neighboring vendors at the food hall, including meats from K’Nack, mushrooms from Forest to Fork, honey from Plan B and more all on a fat sourdough crust.
—Animales Barbecue Co., the trailer outside Able Seedhouse + Brewery has been smoking up meats for a few weeks, but after getting a glamorous wrap, the eye-catching eatery from chef Jon Wipfli is officially open with an expanded menu. —There’s a different kind of bodega up and running at 629 Aldine Street in St. Paul. Eureka Compass, home to those vegan croissants and pop ups garnering all the buzz last year, is now operating the shop that stocks all the necessities and some cruelty-free snacks and products. Snacks available rotate, but there are “pop tarts,” muffins, jackfruit tacos, cookies and more.
