Chef Justin Sutherland of Lowertown’s Handsome Hog and Stillwater’s Pearl & the Thief will be competing on Season 16 of Bravo TV’s Top Chef . The announcement comes on the heels of Sutherland’s recent win on the other massively popular culinary competition show, Food Network’s Iron Chef. The new season kicks off in Kentucky, which hopefully works in the favor of the chef. His two restaurants specialize in Southern-leaning fare.
Handsome Hog will host a viewing party for the competition when it premieres on Thursday, December 6th 2018 at 203 6th Street in St. Paul.
Those interested in attending the event can find details on the viewing party’s event page, along with directions and contact information for any questions.
Last June, Sutherland took the stage on an episode of Iron Chef America. Not only did he appear on the episode, but the chef known for his nose-to-tail cooking skills won the episode, a conclusion that wasn’t surprising to many when it was revealed that the secret ingredient was whole lamb.
Tune in on December 6th to see if he can pull off cooking show victory 2.0 and bring event more attention to the glimmering Twin Cities restaurant scene.
