The burger sensation that’s sweeping the world arrives in Edina Tuesday October 30 at 11am. The first freestanding Shake Shack in Minnesota will open on France Avenue outside Southdale mall. The newest outpost of the mega-chain will serve the burgers and crinkle fries its famous for, but also add a little local flavor to its shakes. The frozen custard concretes will include a flavor Pie! Oh, My! that comes with a slice of Cafe Latte pie in it. Other local flavors will include Summit, Lift Brewery, Badger Hill Brewery, Grain Belt, and Brau Brothers Brewing Co. beer.
The 5,108 square-foot restaurant will include an outdoor covered patio with games and added seats.
Shake Shack was created in New York by hospitality giant Danny Meyer. It has grown from a single stand to more than 180 locations worldwide, including 70 international locations in Tokyo, Seoul, Dubai, and Moscow. Next year the company plans debut in Mexico and Shanghai.
