What was once Donny Dirk’s Zombie Den at 2027 North 2nd Street is set to become a new bar called Mr. Steven’s Snuggery.
There will be two cocktail hours held on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m., slated to kick off later this month. Interested parties can buy tickets in advance or try their luck at the door. Tickets for 6 p.m. on April 20 are $36.95 for “foreplay”: appetizers and cocktails for two hours. There is also $10.06 added for taxes and fees per ticket. Also, listed is, “Private Snuggery is also available.”
The new spot is owned by Leslie Bock, who also operates Betty Danger’s Country Club and Psycho Suzi’s Motor Lounge. In a recent press release the bar’s character-based personality said, “I am so rich, a biracial bisexual republican [sic], and a vegan atheist that is partially blind in the right eye. I love myself. Why wouldn’t I?”
