Lame Excuse For a Season Causes Sea Salt Eatery to Close for Winter — Again

The seasonal stand at Minnehaha Falls will be back next week

Thanks to the complete lack of cooperation on the part of spring weather, Sea Salt Eatery has closed after a brave attempt to open in the face of continual snow. Every spring there are a few reliable harbingers of warmer weather: robins, dudes in cargo shorts and seasonal waterside stands opening. Last weekend Sea Salt, the fresh seafood restaurant in Minneapolis attempted to open, but yesterday the onslaught of snow and temperatures in the teens forced the company to announce themselves punked by Old Man Winter. “We are admitting defeat and shutting down for the winter. AGAIN. We drank all the beer, donated a bunch of fish to local food shelves, & locked the doors until things shape up around here.”

April 12 the stand that’s known for fish tacos, pans of raw oysters, beer and Sebastian Joe’s ice cream will re-open.

Sea Salt Eatery will be closed for the winter and will be reopening on Thursday, April 12th. This is our new plan and...
