Wahlburgers, a burger chain named after the three brothers—Mark, Donnie, and Paul Wahlberg—who started it, is coming to the Mall of America courtesy of a shiny new partnership with Hy-Vee. Wahlburgers will celebrate the grand opening of the restaurant at 6 p.m. on May 31, an event the public is invited to attend.
The chain store that attaches “Wahl” to many of its offerings, including drinks dubbed “Wahlcoctions” and “Wahlbrewskis,” has stores in 15 states across the U.S. in addition to Minnesota. The burger joint is also the subject of a reality T.V. show on A&E. As the Mall of America’s website explains, “Wahlburgers offers a fun, casual music-filled atmosphere where guests, like family, share great food, a few laughs, and lots of love.”
WCCO reports that the space is going to be a whopping 5,500 square feet on the second floor of the mall’s north wing and is expected to open this spring.
It sounds like Wahlburgers is going to fit right in with the polarizing MOA vibe that people either love or hate.
