Stillwater’s New Oyster and Whiskey Spot Opens Next Week

Pearl & the Thief will debut with a menu by Justin Sutherland

The only way it’d be more Southern is if there was shiplap

Pearl & the Thief, the new Southern restaurant inspired by chef Justin Sutherland’s grandmother “Big Mama,” will open its doors next week. Pearl & the Thief is another collaboration between Sutherland, the chef behind the Handsome Hog in St. Paul’s Lowertown and general manager Joe Pirri. Stillwater’s other cocktail hotspot, Lolo’s American Kitchen owners Joe Ehlenz and Brad Nordeen are also minority partners.

This means the former Pub 112 at 112 North Main Street will serve top shelf cocktails, with plenty of high-quality whiskey

The food will be Southern-leaning with a heavy focus on seafood and oysters, all prepped in an open kitchen on the first floor.

Edit: The restaurant has changed the opening date since this story was first published.
