72 Year Old Barbecue Will Live Again in New Northeast Restaurant

Market BBQ, the decades old family business that was on Nicollet Avenue’s Eat Street stretch for generations will move to 220 Lowry Northeast in Minneapolis. The current location at 1414 Nicollet Avenue South will remain open until September and some time after that, the building it occupies will be torn down to make way for condos. After that the Polski family will painstakingly move the oven and its iconic neon sign over to the newly constructed location.

The new location will also partner with some of the area breweries. The neighborhood is a popular spot for taprooms and local beer.

Market BBQ also operates a food truck, that will keep cruising around town throughout all the moving.
