What was once Schmidt Brewery’s keg house is now a nearly-completed shopping and dining venue dubbed Keg & Case Market that will be housing nearly 20 new tenants. The market will open to the public September 14. Regular hours will be 10 am to 8 pm.

The venue includes In Bloom—the anchor restaurant which will be cooking everything over fire—and feature a sizable patio on one side as well as outposts of Twin Cities staples like Five Watt Coffee, Rose Street Patisserie, Pimento Jamaican Kitchen, and Revival Smoked Meats.

St. Pau’s fast-growing West 7th neighborhoodl will be home to a variety of new food and drink options, from a sugary sweet cotton candy joint to a spot dedicated entirely to cheese. Here’s what to look forward to:

Sweet Science Ice Cream. The first official scoop shop (there’s a window at Como Lake and pints available at some grocery stores.) The super rich ice cream, the syrups and cookies they use are all made by hand from organic ingredients. Flavors range from traditional vanilla and chocolate to fancy gourmet combinations like soft cheese, strawberry and basil.

Pimento Jamaican Kitchen. The kings of Eat Street jerk are adding a new location with all the spicy meat and coconut rice their fans can stand.

Bogart’s Doughnut Co. The doughnuts that grew from popular farmer’s market stand to perpetually popular doughnut shop are expanding to St. Paul with this outpost. Start with the vanilla bean raised doughnuts.

Spinning Wylde. It will soon no longer be necessary to subject yourself to the atrocities of the Mall of America to get a does of airy, organically sweetened sugar air otherwise known as the gourmet cotton candy Spinning Wylde whips up. Try the butter beer, a jazzed up butterscotchy flavor.

House of Halva. A Middle Eastern cookie spot featuring what is essentially a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie that also comes in kosher variations. Liz and David Kadosh will be at the helm.

Hobby Farmer Canning Co. Previously only available at farmer’s markets and select supermarkets, this retail location of Hobby Farmer is a vinegar lover’s dream come true—they’ll be serving a fermented vinegar drink called switchel.

Croix Valley. A seasonally-focused sauce and marinade company courtesy of Lu and Damon Holter that’s known for its barbecues and Bloody Mary seasonings in particular.

Clutch Brewing Co. A brewery returns to the brewery! See brewing in action as well as enjoy a bird’s eye view of the ground floor market from the mezzanine level location.

Green Bee Juicery. Featuring cold-press juices crafted from local produce and a variety of nut milks, this will be the newest venture of the Madden ladies who already run a Minneapolis location that offers memberships to those devoted to juicing.

It’s not all food, there will also be a few shops including a florist on site
Studio Emme/Website

Besides edible options, there will also be shops like Worker B (a raw-honey based shop selling everything from skin care products to candles), Evla Pottery, and Studio Emme (a florist) on site as well.
