North Loop’s Most Exclusive Hotel Rooftop Finally Opens to the Public

Since opening in the winter of 2016, word of the Hewing Hotel’s stunning rooftop has been exclusive to hotel guests, except in a few instances where the public was given a glimpse. Beginning August 1, the hotel will allow common folk up to take in the North Loop neighborhood sites and enjoy a few summery beverages. The opening menu will include cocktails including a gin-spiked frosé and a tropical rum drink made with coconut water. Food will include bar snacks.

The restaurant and bar portion of the Hewing has had a wild ride as a highly-anticipated opening, to its original chef leaving the state, to less than stellar reviews. All the while, the bar has become a see and be seen destination for the buzzy neighborhood. The opening of the rooftop extends its most popular area to upstairs and outside during the final month of 2018’s summer.

The patio will be open seven days a week after August 1, from 11 am to midnight.
