Thr3 Jack, a new restaurant notable for its six golf simulators will open Monday October 7 in the North Loop by siblings Lucy Robb and Bo Massopust. The restaurant is a result of Lucy’s history in design and Bo’s real estate experience.
Through advanced motion-capture technology, each golfing station allows players to try their hand at some of the world’s most famous courses. For those who are intimidated by a round of virtual golf, lighter games are available too, including darts and mini-golf.
The food and drink situation has been well thought-out: the bar program is spearheaded by renowned local bartender Jesse Held and his beverage company Earl Giles. Food is being overseen by executive chef Robert Wohlfeil who is known for opening acclaimed Minneapolis seafood restaurant Oceanaire. His influence can be seen in seafood additions on the menu, but expect a largely from-scratch, New American vibe. To accent the food is the work of Bill Summerville, who curated the wine list. Keeping the team together is operations consultant Nathan Rostance who has been associated with spots all over the twin cities including Broders’ Pasta Bar, Oceanaire, Bachelor Farmer, and Marvel Bar.
