After a year of struggling, pastry chef Kristy Dirk has shuttered her bakery, Lucky Oven. The adorable little space in Minneapolis’ Armatage neighborhood opened to an excited public in November of 2017. While initial reviews were mixed, and peppered with complaints on quality and service times, the bakery had seemed to rally after this summer. Families in this residential part of town would come for the wall of Easy Bake Ovens and frosting covered cinnamon rolls.

According to the Star Tribune, a sign is hung on the front door saying farewell to customers alongside another offering the space for rent. The bakery’s Facebook and web pages give no indications of closure, but calls have gone unanswered.
