For one special night a whole collective of Minneapolis and St. Paul’s boldest chefs are gathering in one place to raise money to help a special little girl battle cancer. Gabby’s Got This Benefit Party is being hosted inside Travail’s Minneapolis residency on Hennepin Avenue on Sunday July 21, from 4 to 8 pm. When they put out the call for help, local notable hospitalitarians lined up for the opportunity to pitch in. Chefs in attendance, in addition to the Travail collective led by Mike Brown, James Winberg, and Bob Gerken, will include Tim Mckee of OCTO fishbar, Gavin Kaysen of Spoon and Stable, Ann Kim of Young Joni, Alex Roberts of Restaurant Alma, and so many more.
Tickets are $125 each and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Gabby and her family. Gabriella was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on Friday, October 12th. Her parents are Matt and Heidi Brown. Matt is the chef/owner of Estelle’s in Harmony, Minnesota. He’s also brother to Mike and Dave Brown, of Travail.
