Libertine locked its doors on Sunday for a final time inside Uptown's Calhoun Square. The restaurant, owned by the Parasole restaurant group, first opened in the summer of 2014 with a meat-centric menu put together by James Beard Award winning chef Tim McKee. Over the years, the menu and chefs evolved. In 2017 the restaurant doubled down on party good times by adding games to the room.

Before Libertine, Parasole operated another restaurant, Cafeteria, in the same location.

After the announcement was made, there was no indication whether the company would attempt another concept in this spot.

Parasole also owns Chino Latino, Pittsburgh Blue, Manny’s Steakhouse, Salut, and more.
