A Cupcake Social, the food truck turned storefront has announced it is the latest closure amidst the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic. In a Facebook post today the shop said, “A Cupcake Social will be permanently closing at the end of May 2020.” Hours of operation for curbside pickup will remain until May 30.
Beginning as a cupcake peddling food truck, the operation moved from mobile to permanent in 2014 as the shop at 3800 28th Avenue South in Minneapolis first opened. Known for inventive flavors as dreamy soft textures, the cupcakes soon became a habit for little cake lovers.
The shop joins a string of other recent closures, including Pazzaluna, 4Bells, the Bachelor Farmer, and more.
